Drive your Ambition is a powerful statement from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, representing our commitment to the values and aspirations of our brand, our people and our Mitsubishi Motors customers - present and future.

This is our slogan that we use worldwide. You see these everywhere, from our advertisements to our brochures and Mitsubishi Motors dealerships. But for us it is more than just a slogan and represents something much bigger.

We're also humble, genuine and emotional. By this we mean that we live in the real world and we're just like you: we go to work, go to sleep, and dream of great adventures at the weekend. So we understand that the vehicles we create must work for you.
We are pioneers. We've been creating innovative vehicles for over 100 years. In 1982, we launched the Pajero/Montero. It was the pioneer of a new generation of SUVs that offered sophisticated driving performance at a reasonable price. In 2009, we launched the i-MiEV, the world's first pure electric car available for the mass market. In 2013, we launched the Outlander PHEV, the world's first Plug-in Hybrid SUV. We are here to do things that have never been done before.

We are specialists in electrification technologies

We will continue to develop Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) technology. We'll create cars that offer smoother, quieter rides with powerful acceleration that can travel further on a single charge.

We will never stop innovating

When we launched the Outlander PHEV in 2013, it was the world's first Plug-in Hybrid SUV. We weren't just way ahead of our competitors; the Outlander PHEV represented more than an EV-based 4x4 SUV. It offered a new kind of low cost, low carbon driving. It won innovation Award in the Car of the Year Japan, 2013-2014. The worldwide attention it received helped to firmly establish the importance of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains.

We are the leading experts in SUVs and 4WD drive

First came Super Select 4WD. Then came All-Wheel Control, which monitors the road and intelligently transfers power to the wheels to improve handling. And in 2005, we introduced Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) with four driving modes to provide the ultimate balance of efficiency and control, for driving confidence in all conditions.

Our designs are rooted in our philosophy of robustness and dependability. And we have lofty ambitions: we want our designs to be nothing short of ingenious. They are created with meticulous care and precision and we focus on getting the details right. We call this Mitsubishi-ness.

Form Follows Function

Our designs must always be functional and exude confidence. The DYNAMIC SHIELD is the powerful front face of our new vehicles. It improves performance and protects both the car and passengers. On the inside, we've been using a Horizontal Axis design concept across generations of our vehicles. It offers greater visibility across the instrument panel and allows the driver to sense changes in the vehicle or road.
